13th Pinning and Commissioning Celebration

On a momentous occasion,
The College of the Immaculate Conception (CIC) Institute of Higher Studies (IHS) organized a Pinning and Commissioning Ceremony and the mass was officiated by Reverend Father Joseph B. Azarcon, Ph.D. The event, held on January 17, 2023, at the serene CIC Chapel, was themed "I am who I'm meant to be. This is me!”
Twenty (20) practice teachers of A.Y. 2023-2024
attended the ceremony poised to embark on their journey of practice teaching. Among the distinguished guests were the proud parents and guardians of the interns, along with other Education students and the esteemed faculty and staff of Educators.
Ms. Anna Lissa Antonio, Officer-in-Charge of the IHS, commended the practice teachers for their achievements and wished them a meaningful experience during their internship.
Ms. Marites Geronimo, an accomplished English Major and CIC Alumna, delivered an inspiring talk, drawing from her own experiences. She encouraged the practice teachers to cultivate a grateful mindset, recognizing the blessings and possibilities surrounding them. Ms. Geronimo emphasized the importance of passion, perseverance, and determination in their teaching journey.
Dr. Amado Estonillo III, Vice President for Academic Affairs and Research, graced the occasion with his presence and imparted words of wisdom and encouragement.

The event included ceremonial pinning, symbolizing the practice teachers' readiness for deployment to other schools and their commitment to engaging in practice teaching.
Dr. Estonillo underscored the expectation for CIC teachers to exhibit the qualities of competent, responsible, and productive educators.
Expressing their gratitude, the practice teachers delivered heart felt Thanksgiving Speech, with Ms. Nhicol Valero from Bachelor of Secondary Education (BSED) Major in Values Education. They also offered flowers to the Image of Mother Mary and their parents.
CIC extends its heartfelt appreciation to the coordinators of this successful event, Ma'am Ma. Lucena Matias, and Sir. Henry Regal, the Education Society (EdSoc) Head.
